Meaza's Adoption Video
Here is Meaza's video. I warn you........you might want kleenex. Kudos to my amazing husband for another great video! :)
Settling in and loving it!
Who would have thought that bringing home a baby would consume all my time so that I never update the blog? :) Ah well, I love it! It has been just over 5 weeks since we arrived home with Meaza and it has been great so far! She has adjusted marvelously and is a very happy girl! We went through some sleep pattern changes, but for the most part, our little peanut sleeps through the night. She wakes up with a big smile and bright eyes in the morning.....so sweet! I guess Meaza takes after Kevin being a morning person and Nicolas takes after me, expect I can't sleep through an alarm blaring 6 inches from my head. :)
Not crawling or walking yet, but I like to stand up!!! :)
On that last BEAUTIFUL Saturday a few weeks ago, we took Nicolas and Meaza to Post Family Farms to get pumpkins. While Meaza slept for a good portion of our adventure, Nicolas had a lot of fun!
Tarzan!!!
We conquered the corn maze with the guidance of Big Nick!
Nicolas chose a pumpkin almost as big as his sister!
Carving comes later. Keep reading!
We have been trying to ease into things. We have gone to the grocery store and Costco. Meaza is a great cheerleader at Nicolas' soccer games as well!
Peak-a-boo!!!
Playing with my new blocks!!
And wearing Mom's Fiona ears! :) (That was my halloween costume :) Thanks Wendy's kids meal :)
This was both Nicolas and Meaza's first Halloween as South Africans do not celebrate the holiday. As you can see, Nicolas made a very convincing Batman and Meaza was the cutest little ladybug! We went to the carnival and trunk or treat at our church and also went out in our neighborhood. They loved it! :)
This is Nicolas' creativity at work! Using his spiderman as a headset!
Nicolas' second grade picture :)
Somewhere in the mix, we also had a shoot with Jacee Beck Photography to update our family pictures. As you can see, she did an awesome job!
(do you see the peace sign?? He can't resist!)
And here is our fist pumpkin carving experience.......Nicolas thought the pumpkin guts very pretty gross!
ready to dig in!
See?
Finished product!
It's still hard to believe that we are done with paperwork and appointments, waiting and checking email obsessively, and planning around what could be. These last few weeks have been fun and crazy and hectic and joyful and a gift. I am starting to ease back into work and will be back full time in December. I am going to miss my play time and naps with Meaza and my afternoons with Nicolas, but no matter what.....they are HOME!
